RESTORE and RELAX: Yoga, Meditation, and Breathwork for Stress + Anxiety

Join yoga + meditation teacher Kate McCabe for an evening of rest, relaxation, and restoration of the mind, body, and spirit. This unique workshop draws on the healing practices of restorative yoga, guided meditation, and breathwork to tap into the body's natural relaxation response in order to relieve stress, restore energy, and reduce anxiety on a physiological level. Each of the included poses, meditations, and breathing techniques are designed to help you move through + release long-held emotions, stresses, and energies, so you may emerge feeling more grounded, with a handful of new tools to assist you during challenging times. 

Class will be supported and accompanied by aromatherapy, hands-on assists + massage, and candlelight. 

In addition to teaching yoga, Kate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, where she studied at length the relationship between meditation + mindfulness and mental health. She specializes in helping students overcome stress and anxiety through yoga, breathing, and meditation, and is excited to offer this integrated and deeply healing workshop.

Summer is a joyful + bright time of year that encourages more playtime, socializing, travel, and freedom. But with the longer days and hotter sun can come the potential to overdo, over-schedule, overheat, and deplete ourselves of our natural energy + radiance. 

This integrative workshop will draw upon the practices of yoga and it’s sister art, Ayurveda. Referred to as “the science of life”, Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of medicine that emphasizes the mind-body connection, and aims to restore balance to the mind and body through holistic dietary and lifestyle practices. One of the fundamental principles of Ayurveda is that our habits, routines, and dietary choices should ebb and flow with the seasons, and this is especially true during the intense, fiery summer season.

Join yoga teacher and nutrition + wellness expert Kate McCabe as we luxuriate in cooling practices and discuss ways to bring more balance, harmony, and health to our bodies and minds this summer season. Workshop includes:

  • Overview of basic Ayurvedic principles
  • Easy-to-apply dietary + lifestyle practices for a healthy and balanced mind + body
  • 60-minute all-levels yoga practice designed to gently flush the body of toxins and restore internal balance
  • Cooling pranayama (breath work) practice
  • Closing meditation and relaxation accompanied by cooling essential oils + massage
  • Tea + herb infusion to enjoy post-practice

Join yoga teacher, plant-based chef, and nutrition + wellness expert Kate McCabe for an afternoon of yoga, wellness, and mind-body renewal. Kate has combined her expertise in nutrition + yoga in this workshop designed to prepare the body + mind for the summer season.

We will discuss nutrition + lifestyle practices to implement for optimized daily detoxification and weight loss, followed by a 75-minute heated detox yoga + pranayama (breathing) practice designed to flush the lymphatic system, release toxins, cleanse the body, and reduce emotional stress. 

Attendees will leave with a packet of take-home detox tips + recipes and a refreshing green smoothie.
